Pirates of the Western Sea
Ah yes, my masterpiece. Or not.

OK, here are the disclaimers:

1. You really need to know how to play Natuk (or TOD) first. The help files are from Natuk and won't make much sense if you're new to the game system.
2. This game is missing half of its graphics, so it can be ugly at times. And you also need to pay attention to the words. Some monsters might not match their description real well.
3. Although this thing fits my definition of "a game" - it has a beginning, middle, and end - it has some real problems. Feedback is fine - just don't go off on some rant about how the pacing is off or the ship combat sucks - I know that, that's why it's not released. :) Play it because you're curious or a real die-hard Proudfoot fan, not because you think it'll beat the Arr! out of Pirates!.
4. Yes, there are bugs. My list is buried under a pile of junk right now. Hopefully I can put it up here eventually so that you can know what to look out for.

And the biggest rule of all:

DO NOT UPLOAD THIS ANYWHERE ELSE

I'm serious. My domain name is straightened out* and my web hosting has plenty of space now. So it will always be here if you want to find it (TOD too, for that matter). I don't want this half-finished thing floating around on the internet sullying my good name. :)

In addition, maybe I want to sell it someday or something - I spent a hell of a lot of time working on this - so just play the free half-finished game for now and have some fun. Don't go burning on a CD for posterity or uploading it to the Underdogs. Not yet.

So, with all that in mind, here you go: pows.zip

New Exe #3: Fixes the crash when exiting the Blindren shrine (better late then never!): pows0730.zip

If you need help figuring out what to do, use the messageboard. Part of the problem with the game is that it is sometimes hard to tell what you are supposed to be doing. But if you help each other out you can probably bumble your way through to the end. Hopefully you will have some fun along the way.
